Space, power and setup: what your venue needs to know

A 360 booth is quick to set up when the space is ready for it, and a headache when it is not. The good news is the requirements are simple. Forward this to your venue coordinator and event day takes care of itself.

The space

  • Footprint: roughly a 10×10 ft area for the platform, arm, and a comfortable space for guests.
  • Ceiling height: at least 8 ft of clearance so the camera arm can rotate safely.
  • Surface: a flat, level floor. Outdoors needs cover and stable ground.

Power

The booth needs a standard power outlet within reach of the setup spot. If the nearest outlet is far away, let your vendor know in advance so they can plan cabling safely rather than running an extension across a walkway.

Access and load-in

  • Path: ground-level or elevator access; flag stairs and tight elevators ahead of time.
  • Parking: a spot close enough to roll equipment in.
  • Timing: confirm when the vendor can arrive to set up and test before guests.
Two-minute tip: on your venue walkthrough, photograph the ceiling and the load-in path and send them to your booth vendor. It prevents nearly every event-day surprise.

Lighting and placement

The booth brings its own ring light for the subject, but a slightly darker surrounding room makes the footage feel premium. Placement near the action, rather than in a side room, is what keeps the booth busy.

Insurance

Many venues require vendors to carry liability insurance and to add the venue as additional insured. Ask your booth vendor for a certificate early so it is handled well before the event.

We send a short setup sheet and an insurance certificate to your coordinator on request, so the venue has everything it needs.
